I am an associate professor of International and Global Studies at the University of Arkansas in the Department of Political Science. I am also the associate director of the International and Global Studies Program.


From 2001-2020, I taught at the University of Texas at Arlington.  From 1999-2001, I was a Humboldt fellow at the University of Toronto. 


I specialize in Transnational and Global History, Philanthropy and Civil Society Studies, Intercultural Transfer, and History of Higher Education.


I am the editor of the Yearbook of Transnational History and the editor of the Anthem book series on Intercultural Transfer Studies.
